One Young Farmer Grant plus strong community equals new fence!

We are excited to share that Shaun has been honored with a grant from the Young Farmers Coalition.

Their program seeks to support livelihood farmers and ranchers or individuals between the ages of 18-40 who are seeking long term careers that financially support them through agriculture. They prioritize awarding the grants to farmers who are BIPOC and farmers who are female-identifying, non-binary, and trans. Shaun’s cohort of grant recipients are doing amazing things!

We needed to build a fence around the crop field to feed more people and less deer and elk with the crops we grow this year. The generous grant from the Young Farmers Coalition paid for the fence materials and supplies. Shaun’s labor and the help of some friends got that fence erected!
